Who we are:
Tavistock Musical Theatre Company (TMTC) is a not-for-profit amateur dramatic company for people who enjoy taking part in musical theatre both on stage and behind the scenes. The Committee of TMTC act as the organisation’s data controller and processors for the purpose of GDPR.
Why we keep personal data for our membership and our legal basis for doing so:
TMTC keeps and uses personal data to run the Club efficiently and to provide members with the services they have paid for. TMTC is therefore adopting the legal basis of ‘Legitimate interest’ to justify holding and using your personal data.
TMTC stores and uses contact details provided by you. These details are:
(i) Your name, address, telephone numbers and email address (if provided); emergency phone number and contact name.
(ii) A record of your method of payment. We do not keep any bank details.
(iii) A record of those attending meetings and rehearsals. This will include the names of parents acting as chaperones for children’s rehearsals.
(iv) A record of medical conditions if necessary to ensure the member’s safety.
Ticket Source email contact details.
If you choose to purchase show tickets through the TMTC website, your information will be processed by Ticketsource.co.uk for the purposes of providing the ticketing service to you. Your data will be stored and processed by Ticketsource who are operating under their own GDPR compliant privacy policy. They will ask for your name, address, email address, phone number and credit/debit card information. We do not at any time have access to your payment information but can access your personal information for the purposes of managing attendance at shows and to notify you of future events and special ticket offers. We do not share your data with any other organisations.
Who we share it with:
We do not share personal data with third parties without the explicit consent of the relevant individual, unless legally required to do so.
How long we keep it:
We keep your information for the duration of your TMTC Membership and for two years after your last visit, unless you tell us otherwise. If you inform us that you are cancelling your membership all your data will be deleted.
Your rights under GDPR
You have the right to:
- Be informed about the collection and use of your personal data.
- Access the data held (a copy of your data will be provided on request within one month, as required by the Data Protection Act).
- Have any inaccuracies in your data corrected.
